Limbo confirmed for PSN, coming July 19

Rumors that sprouted from rating leaks seldom lead to disappointment. Not too long ago, theKorean Rating Board revealed to us (opens in new tab)the existence of Limbo for the PS3. Now, less than a month later, we have confirmation of its impending releasefrom developer Playdead’s CEO and Co-foundervia the PlayStation Blog (opens in new tab). This games-as-art argument will soon be available to more players than ever.

Limbo’s release last year through Xbox Live’s annual Summer of Arcade program saw massive acclaim, andwe awarded it our highest score (opens in new tab). The dark platformer instantly became a bestseller on the Live Arcade and has received numerous awards since. Having been announced for PC recently, the title is now set to hit the PSN store on July 19. Haven’t enjoyed thisindie gem yet? If you’ve been missing out, you now have fewer excuses than ever to have not played it yet.
