It seems nary a day goes by without some Jeremy Renner-related news cropping up, and today is no different.
The hotter-than-anything star has a slew of productions currently wrestling for space on his slate, and the actor’s added his own production company to the list of his commitments.
Having established his own company, Renner is now focussing his attentions on developing a biopic based on the life of Steve McQueen.
Renner will star in the film, while Two Lovers ’ James Gray is currently writing a script for ad director Ivan Zacharias to make his feature debut.
Risky Business report that Gray will be using the books Portrait Of An American Rebel and The Life And Legend Of A Hollywood Icon (both by Marshall Terrill) as points of reference for his script.
More immediately, Renner is about to start shooting The Avengers as Hawkeye, while he’s also signed on to star in The Bourne Legacy and lend his voice to Ice Age: Continental Drift . Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters is already in the can, as is Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol .
