Camp Hell review

WE’RE GUESSING JESSE EISENBERG was repaying a debt to writer/director buddy George VanBuskirk (producer of Eisenberg’s early breakout movie Roger Dodger) when he agreed to play a three-minute role in this lumpen, evangelical Christian horror movie. Pity it turns out to be so undercooked.

Teenager Tommy (Will Denton) is beset by demons, God-botherers and moving Virgin Mary statues during a church summer camp. Buried in there is a worthwhile warning about the dangers of religious fundamentalism, but you have to endure a whole lot of yap to get at it.
